Eskbank Yoga Lounge reopening procedures

Social Distancing Policy

In line with Government advice we are operating the Eskbank Yoga Lounge with a number of strict cleaning and social distancing measures in place. Our priority is to provide a place to practise yoga for our clients which is safe for our clients and teaching staff. We ask you to comply with the following measures to allow us to open and deliver classes in a way that everyone can feel confident and safe.

1
To comply with social distancing measures we will offer EIGHT spaces in each class. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis and there can be no cancellation once a class is booked. During this time bookings can only be made ONLINE and there can be no bookings at reception and cash cannot be accepted. If you have any queries please feel free to call or email us. On booking your details will be taken for the additional purpose of providing details to the Government’s track and test system. Please ensure that you have confirmation of your booking prior to coming to class to ensure that you are booked for a particular class.

2
Allocated spaces will be marked out in the studio. These are arranged so that the ONE metre social distancing rule is complied with. At the present time we cannot offer the use of bolsters, bricks, blocks, straps and blankets. We will not be able to offer the use of mats during this time. Participants MUST bring their own mat.

3
The studio floors will be fully sanitised before each class and will be sanitised at the end of the class. The hall floor will be fully sanitised before and after classes and the bannisters in the stair and all door handles will be sanitised before and after each class.

4
Hand sanitiser will be placed at the entrance door and we request that all participants use this before entering and leaving the building and studio. As the changing area and reception will not be operating, participants are requested to keep to a minimum the personal effects that they bring to the studio.  Participants are requested not to attend class if they feel unwell and for 14 days after they feel better and if they should be self isolating for any particular reason in line with the current Government advice at the time.

5
On arrival at the building please ensure that you maintain a distance of ONE metres between you and any other participant entering the building. If you arrive at the same time please allow time for each other to reach the top of the stair without coming into contact. If you arrive before the doors are open please use our garden to the rear of the building to wait in.   Once in the building please immediately make your way to the large studio and go to one of the allocated spots. Please use the furthest from the door first to ensure that others do not need to cross your space. Please maintain a distance of ONE metre from each other at all times. All participants MUST be in place 5 minutes before the start of class as we are unable to allow late admittance which would risk compromising safe distancing. It is requested that you wear a face covering on arrival which can be removed during the class. Your temperature will be taken on arrival.

6
We do not have air conditioning and we will have 2 air purifiers in operation during the summer months to keep the rooms cool and the air clean. There will be no “hands on assists” during the class and the class teacher will remain in his/ her allocated space. Our windows can be opened and the studio doors can remain open for increased ventilation.

7
When the class is finished all participants will ready themselves to leave in the allocated spot and we will operate staggered leaving times for each participant to maintain social distancing.

8
As we are not operating a full service at these times with no access to the props and less class spaces and as we are aware that people may not wish to commit to class passes we will during this time offer single 1 hour classes for £9 and 45 minute sessions £6.50. Depending on demand we may introduce additional classes if required.
